Neve Shamir is one of the newest and upcoming neighborhoods in Beit Shemesh. It is located just south east of Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph. Another name for Neve Shamir is Ramat Beit Shemesh Heh. According to the planning authority there will be 2,500 units in total and the mayor of Beit Shemesh Aliza Bloch stated that Neve Shamir is open to all types of people. I think the idea originally was that Neve Shamir would be a place where religious and non religious Jews would live together in peace. It seems at this point in time being that it is one of the most upscale neighborhoods; it is a huge draw for religious Anglos from America, England, and South Africa. What makes Neve Shamir different from its surrounding neighborhoods is that rather than trying to pack in the most amount of properties as possible the goal is to have many green areas, parks, amazing views and even a country club. Views of the Judean forest and the Hula valley can be seen from many of the properties.

They started breaking ground in 2019 and the first families started moving in, in 2022. As of Aug 2023 the following projects began occupancy: Aleph HaChadasha, Namdar, Ramat Yochanon, Ofek Sheli, and Ir David. A few of the other projects that are still being built are Soho on the Park, Top View, Naot Aviv, Tzur Shamir, Achuzat Namdar, Nativ, and Neve Amim. Some of these projects will be completed shortly and some will be completed in about 3 years.

Neve Shamir has two entrances. One of the entrances is just south of the Mishkafayaim neighborhood as you are coming up from route 10 towards RBS Aleph. The other entrance is just east of Ramat Beit Shemesh gimmel as you are heading towards the Mem 3 neighborhood and Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph.

The various apartment buildings will have anywhere from small 2 bedroom units to large 6 bedroom penthouses with huge balconies. There will also be options for garden units.
