Since 1991 the neighborhood of Sheinfeld, Beit Shemesh has grown exponentially. The neighborhood is mostly composted of Modern Orthodox, Dati Leumi and Yeshivish families. It is located between Old Beit Shemesh and Ramat Beit Shemesh. The area includes the streets of Reuven, Shimon, Gad, Asher, Rashi, Naftali, Maapilei Egoz and Shivtei Yisrael. There are 3 shuls; Ohel Yonah Menachem, Netzach Menashe and Meit Midrash Torani Leumi. The housing consists of apartments in a variety of sizes, semi-attached houses, duplexes plus a new housing project.
Maapilei Egoz and Shivtei Yisrael Streets
On the farthest end of Sheinfeld you have Shivtei Yisrael Street and Maapilei Egoz Street. These streets have 3 or 4 level apartment buildings, some with elevators. The smallest apartments are 2 bedrooms (3 rooms) but most of the apartments are 3 bedrooms (4 rooms), with a few apartments on the penthouse level with 4 bedrooms (5 rooms).
Gad Street
Gad Street is located on the farthest end of Sheinfeld across from Maapilei Egoz Street. It has 7 rows of townhouses. These townhouses are duplexes on top of duplexes. The lower units all have a garden, are 2 levels, and rang in size between 120-150sqm. The upper level units are 2 levels and, instead of a garden, have 2 different patios.
Reuven Street
Reuven Street runs from the Sheinfeld Shopping Center on one side to Maaplie Egoz Street on the other. There are 2 types of housing, semi-attached houses on one side and apartment buildings on the other. The semi-attached houses range in size from 140-300sqm with gardens and off-street parking. There are 17 apartment buildings, ranging from 3-4 stories high. Most of the buildings have an elevator, and some have a Shabbat elevator. The apartments in these buildings are 3 bedrooms (4 rooms) and they all have patios.
Shimon Street
Shimon Street runs from Reuven Street to Asher (which connects close to Gad Street) This is one of the nicest streets in the entire Beit Shemesh area. There are semi-attached houses on both sides of the street ranging in size from 200-500sqm. Each house has a garden.
Naftali Street
Naftali Street branches off of Shimon and goes all the way to the shopping center. It has semi-attached houses on the left side of the street ranging in size from 130sqm – 200sqm depending upon renovations that were made to the houses. Each house also has a front and back garden.
